Internet and Computer Usage Agreement

Policy Statement

Internet/Intranet access, computer usage, and any use of computing resources at Palmetto Fitness Center is restricted to business or authorized use only. Personal usage is acceptable on a limited basis, such as during personal breaks, so long as it is not detrimental to the company, and is not inappropriate or excessive.

Misuse of company computing resources and Internet access may be subject to revocation, and possible termination, for inappropriate usage, including, but not limited to:

• Violation of any local, state, or federal laws of the United States, or any laws belonging to any other nations or countries
• Knowingly downloading or propagating malware of any kind
• Sharing any company trade secrets or private business practices with any competitors, individuals, or other entities not authorized by Palmetto Fitness Center
• Accessing or distributing pornographic, gambling, illegal, or other material deemed inappropriate by management
• Using or accessing materials that contain threatening, abusive, profane, sexist, or racist, or any other inappropriate language, on company computers or electronic devices
• Engaging in any activity that may lead to disruption, disablement, or impairment of company resources
• Failure to secure company controlled-access computers or other system after use
• Attempting to bypass any company security restrictions on company equipment

Using company resources in an illegal manner may lead to disciplinary actions, up to, and including termination and criminal prosecution. Palmetto Fitness Center will comply with reasonable requests from law enforcement and regulatory agencies for access to logs, diaries, archives, or files on individual Internet activities, e-mail use, and/or computer use created using company resources.

Violation of these policies is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Ownership of Internet Access and Computer Files

Palmetto Fitness Center owns the rights to all data and files contained within and created by company computers, network, or other information system. The company reserves the right to monitor activities on company resources and inspect files or data contained on company computers, network, or other information system.

Any third party software may not be distributed, used, or modified in any way that is not in compliance with third party licensing agreements.

Violation of these policies is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Internet/Intranet Browsers

Internet Access is prohibited to business use including, research, development, and company communications. Personal usage is acceptable on a limited basis, providing that company policy is upheld. Employees are liable for any and all damages incurred as a result of violating company security policy, copyright, and licensing agreements.

Employee conduct on the Internet is expected to follow all Palmetto Fitness Center policies and practices. This includes Palmetto Fitness Center security policies and procedures, as well as general employee conduct policies and procedures. Violation of these policies is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Personal Electronics

Employees are not permitted use personal cell phones, cameras, or other personal electronics, while at work. Image-recording devices are not permitted unless specifically authorized by management.

Personal computers are permitted, but any computer, including employee’s personal computers, are subject to inspection and any data storage devices are subject to analysis. Employees who do not wish their personal computers be inspected should leave them at home.

Violation of these policies is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Employees may face criminal and civil liability if any Company or individual’s rights are harmed by the violation of policies.

I think it look really good. I see some grammer errors we can talk about later.
But, overall good.
